7. Mezinárodní konference "Žena - tvůrčí osobnost třetího tisíciletí"
Ladies and gentleman,
first of all, I would like to wish you good morning and I thank for the possibility to attend the conference and share with you my experience. Now closer to the main topics, which are, I believe very close to me.
At first:
Education of women is a basic condition which enable women together with men to attend public life – politics and state goverment. It is neccessary to ensure for girls the same approach to the education as for boys. In the Czech republic (also in European Union) nowadays we have higher percentage young women graduated at universities than young men. However this is a result of almost one hundred years of support of girls education. Neither this fact is enougt for women to get key positions either in political leadership or in economical management. At the beginning of the strive for the girls education was an argument that only smart and educated mothers can bring up smart end clever children, which I believe is still valid argument, regardless gografical, cultural and religious differencies.
And second:
Enterpreneurship and selfemployment of women: This topic become actual especially after global economic crises and everywhere, where the labour market does not offer enougt working places for women. Women´s enterpreneurship can help with unemployment of women, economical dependence of women and also feminization of poverty. Than is neccessary to set up for women´s enterpreneurship right conditions – social and economical. Equal access to loans and micro-loans is necessary as well as special programs for women (on state or regional level) where women can get advisory, support or training. Enterpreneurship is also good way how to harmonize professional carrier and family care.
And at third:
NGO programmes, which help empowering women: I believe that NGOs played in the past and play even now the important role in the strive for women´s better life. I do personaly cooperate wit oganizations supporting women-politician and others organizations which help women, vicims of domestic violence. NGOs are often the key players, where the state is not supportive for emancipation programes. The most important role of NGOs lies in public awareness, because wide society is very often influenced by gender stereotypes which make a barrier in full realization of women.
And at the end:
